Admission Procedure

Prospective students undergo a thorough admissions procedure:

  • Candidates complete an application form designed to assess their academic performance and involvement in extracurricular activities.
  • Subsequently, an entrance exam assesses applicants with three sections: Quantitative Ability (SA), Quantitative Ability (MCQ), and Verbal Ability.
  • Shortlisted candidates proceed to the Written Ability Test (WA) and Personal Interview (PI). The panel, comprising professors from IIM Indore and other esteemed institutions, assesses candidates for program suitability.

Cracking the Sections

Quantitative Ability

Quantitative Aptitude (QA) is crucial in the IPMAT examination, featuring 30 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 15 short-answer questions (SAQs). Each section is allotted 40 minutes, with each question valued at 4 marks. Negative marking applies to the MCQ section, deducting 1 mark for incorrect answers. However, there is no negative marking for SAQs.

The mathematics questions mainly focus on Class 9th and 10th concepts, with higher-level problem-solving skills necessary for IPMAT Indore.
